Simply stated, our business is your business.  If you are successful, we are successful.  This means we have a vested interest in providing you with education and practical information that will help you grow your wedding planner business.

Managed by professional wedding professionals who breathe everything weddings, the leadership committee has decades of wedding industry knowledge and expertise.

We are Different 

The Association of Wedding Planners focuses on bridging the gap that falls between receiving training and education and running a profitable, reputable wedding business.  Many talented wedding planners receive the training they need to be a wedding planner but struggle in the area of taking what they have learned and translating it a successful wedding business. 

Birthed in 2008 out of a desire to help fellow small business wedding companies, who specialize in providing wedding planning and organization services, to avoid the pitfalls that are unique to our businesses, the association's objective is to:  educate, empower and increase our members in knowledge, expertise and real revenue.  No, we are not another "pay to be a  part of this..." group.  Yes, we do need to generate revenue to be able to meet the needs of our membership. More importantly, we are a group of individuals who understand the unique challenges that are only faced by you - small business wedding planning businesses and networks.

The competition of running a wedding consultancy or wedding business is fierce.  As a result, you want to be partnered with experts who are not simply wedding "generalists", but uniquely positioned to offer you ways to overcome those challenges that hinder growth. That is what we do and who we are.
